  • Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh (Managing Director)
    •  
      Description:

      Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh has over 20 years of extensive, diversified experience in managing several large infrastructure projects in India. The key areas of his specialisation include, Project Management, Business Development apart from being an accomplished professional in the field of Social Affairs and Community Development program, Institutional Development and Communication program. He has independently managed several action research & social marketing projects on solid waste management, water & sanitation, health & nutrition, rural development, Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) and Institutional Strengthening. Mr. Singh is accredited to develop communication strategy based on social marketing techniques and supervision and monitoring of communication campaigns for various national and International agencies such as UNWFP, World Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), JBIC, International Life Science Institute (ILSI), Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Rural Development, Planning Commission of India, State Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Punjab,  Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India, as well as  corporate sectors such as National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and BHEL.

      Some of the most significant projects successfully accomplished by Mr. Singh are Yamuna Action Plan supported by Japan Bank of International Cooperation and Water Quality Management Plan of River Ganga for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in four major towns of UP, Amritsar Sewerage Project, JICA assisted Amritsar Sewerage Project, ADB Funded Assam Urban Infrastructure Project, Flood Control in Guwahati and Infrastructure planning and management of Under these projects, Mr. Singh’s performed a number of activities required for the planning, kick off, execution and financial control  etc.

      Mr. Singh also worked as Deputy Team leader for a huge project on Municipal Solid Waste that covered 18 towns of UP, which was about making DPR under JNNURM and UIDSSMT schemes of Govt. of India. As a senior team member of the project.

      Mr. Singh’s key responsibilities included conducting SIA of proposed Sanitary land fill sites and formulating detailed plan for mitigation of social  issues concerning to the project. He was also involved for preparation of effective Institutional framework for the implementation and Operation& maintenance. Mr. Singh is a skilled team builder and has proficiency in writing technical reports and proposals, making presentations and communication with various stakeholders. Mr. Singh specializes in project planning & project management, social marketing, development communication and social research. He has extensively traveled across various parts of the country.

       
  • Mr. Sanjeev Pandey (Chief Operating Officer)

      Description:

      Mr. Pandey has educational background in business management, social science and laws and has over 20 years of experience in the development field as public consultation expert, researcher, programme planner, project manager, grants manager and master trainer. Through his education, short and long-term assignments in rural and urban India, he has been able to establish a solid professional foundation and a range of competencies.

      Mr. Pandey has been working in the water, sanitation and environment sector with focus on water and sanitation sector reforms, development of urban poor settlements, institutional improvement and capacity building.

      He is fully conversant with project management methods and techniques applied in everything from research and surveys over organisational and capacity development to implementation activities. He is a capable communicator whether writing reports or making presentations at meetings or conferences.

       
  • Mr. Durga Prasad Singh (Sr. Consultant)

      Description:

      Mr. Singh has about 37 years of professional experience in the field of sanitary engineering, water supply and solid waste management. His experience include: Design & Construction of Low Cost Sewage Treatment Plant under Ganga Action Plan in Kolkata Metropolitan Area; Evaluation of alternative network alignment, fixation and preliminary hydraulic design of the chosen pathways for sewerage and drainage under KEIP Project. Determination of most sustainable process and design of sewage treatment plants for the Preliminary Design.

       
  • Mr. Pranabeswar Baruah (Senior Consultant)

      Description:

      Mr. Baruah has more than 30 years of professional experience in the field of Urban Infrastructure, Social Development projects and public participation programs. He has been involved as a team leader in community action and participation program under Government of Rajasthan and ADB funded RUIDP. He has even worked as a resettlement and livelihood specialist in many projects. He has worked extensively in north-eastern region of the country for many development projects related to poverty alleviation and environmental & social analysis. Mr. Baruah has worked in Assam agricultural competitiveness project funded by World Bank which was focused mainly on poor farmers and their livelihood enhancements.

       
  • Mr. Jayanta Chakraborty (Public Relation & Awareness Specialist)

      Description:

      Mr. Jayanta is having an experience of over 23 years in the Socio-economic sector. He has extensively worked on community mobilization, rural mass participation and conducting awareness programs. As a social impact assessment expert he has worked for many projects and has given his inputs for public counseling for mobilizing affected villagers to accept the changes for their betterment. He has worked in many assignments related to social aspects which were funded by many reputed organization like UNICEF, ADB, World Bank etc. In several assignments he undertook IEC campaigns with the convergence and networking with many marketing avenues. In the women empowerment sector he has done many assignments focusing on micro enterprise development, awareness on reproductive health issues, alternative education to women and many others.

      Description:

      Ms. Ranjana has over 12 years of experience of working in electronic and print media. She has been involved in projects related to development of communication strategy based on CNA and has also worked as a Communication cum Training expert. During her stint with media she has written hundreds of article covering various sectors and has also conceptualized and produced TV show and news clips.

       
  • Mr. Arvind Kumar Pandey (Sr. Consultant)

      Description:

      Mr. Arvind Kr. Pandey has above 14 years of experience in the field of Environmental Management in the arena of Water & Wastewater, Solid Waste Management, Water ResourceManagement, Urban Development Project and in various Outreach Projects (Public awareness and capacity building). He has also worked in various projects concerning conservation and sustainable management of various Indian Lakes and Rivers, supervised outreach projects, coordinated non-core schemes under Yamuna Action Plan Phase-I & Phase-II, coordinated the esteemed project “Study for Water Quality Management Plan for River Ganga in Republic of India” etc. and handled various other urban development projects.

      Being a professional in environmental discipline, Mr. Pandey has provided technical inputs for implementation of various measures along with eco-technologies for restoration of water bodies and their catchment, for solid waste management and wastewater management in lake catchment area for ecological sustainability and management of lakes and rivers. He was also associated with the Environmental & Social Impact Assessment study for Integrated Storm Water Drainage system for expanded areas of Chennai Corporation and “Formation of New Reservoir near Kannakottai and Thervailandigal Village in Gummidipoondi Taluk of Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu”.

      Description:

      Ms. Garima Mishra has experience of over 12 years and has done her Masters in Environmental Studies and Natural Resource Management from TERI University. During span of her career she has worked in many areas including Environment, Water, Skill Development & Livelihood, Training and Capacity Development, Self-Employment, Entrepreneurship, IEC, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Disaster Management etc. Her core skill sets are Training, Project Management, Stakeholder communication, Research & Data Collection. She has remarkable ability to conduct varied assignments, has strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in multi-cultural environments.

      Presently she is handing Project on Preparation of Slum Free City Plan of Action for cities of Gorakhpur, Firozabad, Jhansi, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Shahjahanpur and Ghaziabad, State Urban Development Agency, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The project involves conducting extensive survey of slums as per NBO Guidelines, Mapping and Preparation of GIS maps, GIS-MIS Integration and final preparation of Plans of Action to make these cities slum free.

      Prior to this she was involved in Market Based Skill & Entrepreneur Development, Livelihood Creation, SHG Formation and Trainings in Urban Bihar - Bhagalpur Cluster, SPUR Project, Department of Urban Development, Govt of Bihar. The main objective of the project was to enhance the ability of under- educated and under-skilled to become self-employed, find meaningful work or continually upgrade their competencies by offering them technical, commercial and life skills.

      She conducted Training on Process Documentation, BRLPS – Jeevika, World Bank and Bihar Government Livelihood Promotion Initiative. The main objective of the project was to build the capacity of the field staff to roll out effective documentation with support of an expert agency by conducting trainings and workshops.

      She has also worked with Confederation of Indian Industry – the apex Industry association of India and thereafter Underwriters Laboratories, which is the global leader in certification and standards.

       
  • Mr. Sonamani Singh Kambam (Institutional Development & Training Specialist)

      Description:

      Mr. Sonamani completed his Master’s in Public Policy from ICFAI University and has more than 9 years of wide experience predominantly in the field of training and capacity building programmes for different level functionaries of government, private and civil society in the area of urban governance. He was involved in the preparation of Comprehensive Capacity Building Plan for West Bengal under CCBP, JnNURM, initiated preparation of Compendium of Municipal Acts, Laws, GOs, Notifications, organized workshops and other capacity building programs like exposure visits for the ULB functionaries & Dept. officials. As Knowledge Manager, he was given the additional responsibility of coordinating the Rapid Training Program under JnNURM (MoUD, GoI) wherein he oversaw the preparation of training document, organized 2-days residential training programs for municipal elected representatives and officials separately in 28 JnNURM cities of the country.

      He was responsible for ensuring the quality of the training modules and mobilizing external resource persons to deliver the training program. Mr. Sonamani underwent Direct Trainers Skills (DTS) and Design of Training (DoT) programs under DoPT, Govt. of India and certified under both programs for successful completion. As the State Project Coordinator, he managed a team of 17 experts and oversaw the “Preparation of Slum-free City Plan of Action for Gangtok” where he was responsible for DPR preparation, organized workshops, training programs, awareness drives, sensitization programs and documented the capacity building programs undertaken.

      He also developed the Capacity Building Strategy for Meghalaya under National e-Governance Programme. He also handled the City Development Strategy preparation of Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka. Organised workshops of stakeholder groups, documented reports, prepared a compendium of PPP projects in India with supporting case studies, etc.

       
  • Ms. Debotri Chatterjee (Sr. Manager- Corporate Affairs & Projects)

      Description:

      Ms. Chatterjee has completed Master’s in Environmental Planning from School of Planning & Architecture and having almost 5 years of experience in projects dealing in environmental aspects especially related to City Sanitation Plans, Waste Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Climate Change and capacity building programs. As a town planner, she has in-depth knowledge in preparing Master Plan, Environmental Improvement Plan, Outline Development Plan and Site Planning.

      She has extensively worked on preparation of City Sanitation Plans, Feasibility Study Reports and Detailed Project Reports for Integrated Municipal Solid Waste Management, Comprehensive Wastewater Management, Crematoria and Riverfront Development Projects in 13 ULBs of Bihar wherein she has provided planning and design support to address the issue of urban sanitation in a comprehensive manner. Ms. Chatterjee was also involved in the JICA study team for conducting Second Phase of “The Study for Formulation and Revision of Manuals on Sewerage and Sewage Treatment in the Republic of India”. World Bank funded Capacity Enhancement Action Plan under Comprehensive Planning of Water Supply Improvements for 7 ULBs of Andhra Pradesh is another significant project where Ms. Chatterjee has played a key role. A comprehensive strategy on capacity building was formulated under this project with an aim to build personnel capacities and organizational systems to bring immediate improvement in the system performance and to ensure effective service delivery.

       
  • Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh (Strategic & Planning Expert)

      Description:

      Mr. Singh has done his MBA (Rural Management) from Xavier Institute of Rural Development Action and Studies (Jabalpur) and has over 10 years of experience in project planning and monitoring, capacity building of stakeholders, liaison and advocacy at state level. He has been actively involved in providing support and guidance to teams with respect to trainings and recruitment, participated as resource person in the capacity building programmes, providing need based Technical Assistance to the State/City Mission Management Units regarding poverty, livelihoods promotion, skill enhancement and various other themes related to NULM. He has also worked to demonstrate a replicable and functional model of Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) approach in the state of Bihar, through a pilot intervention, in four districts, taking one block per district as focus block. Financial Inclusion of women through micro insurance, Capacity building to health service providers, referral mechanism to get health services are his other areas of work. His experience also includes Coordination and Implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (MGNREGA, 2005) Scheme, Desk Appraisal of project proposals, monitoring and Evaluation of projects, technical support to skill training projects under special SGSY schemes.

      Description:

      Mr. Rahul has Masters in Computer Application from Punjab Technical University and he has a total work experience of about 6 years in MIS applications, Web Site Administration, Computer Applications and statistical analysis.

      He has a profound experience in the maintenance of comprehensive management information systems, databases and Webpage development operations.

      Expertise in the maintenance of a complex database, management information system, and Web page development at a level to access, store, and retrieve data, set up and maintain database files including Verification and validation of data, produce a variety of reports from the database; convert file formats from various applications; accurately prepare, create, format and design memos, reports, calendars, schedules, forms, technical instructions, and other documents.

      He has provided technical inputs as MIS Expert in preparation of DPRs under PMAY (7 cities) and Slum Free City Plan of Action under RAY (5 cities) in Uttar Pradesh and is presently providing inputs in preparing Housing For All Plan of Action for many ULBs in Uttar Pradesh. He was also involved in Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Slum Development in Leh as per IHSDP guidelines, Resettlement (Alternative relocation sites) and Rehabilitation work for Jamshedpur and Dhanbad Sewerage and Drainage Scheme under JNNURM.
